Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology

Mako Robot

OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center offers patients a new option in partial and total knee and total hip replacement surgery, the Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology. This technology is transforming the way joint replacements are performed by enabling surgeons to provide each patient with a personalized surgical experience based on their specific diagnosis and anatomy.

The Mako Robotic-Arm does not perform surgery, make decisions, or move without the surgeon guiding it. The Mako System also enables the surgeon to make adjustments during surgery as needed to optimize balance and alignment.
