Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology
OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center offers patients a new option in partial and total knee and total hip replacement surgery, the Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology. This technology is transforming the way joint replacements are performed by enabling surgeons to provide each patient with a personalized surgical experience based on their specific diagnosis and anatomy.
The Mako Robotic-Arm does not perform surgery, make decisions, or move without the surgeon guiding it. The Mako System also enables the surgeon to make adjustments during surgery as needed.
