For your employee’s convenience, initial work-related injury care and substance testing can also be provided at any OSF PromptCare location on a walk-in basis. Drug & Alcohol Testing

OSF St. Joseph Medical Center has certified drug and alcohol screening technicians available 24-hours a day between our Occupational Health, Emergency Department, and OSF PromptCare locations.

All of our sites can also access our client company’s protocol and follow company-specific instructions regarding the types of substance tests needed to be performed, and random and post-accident or injury substance testing requirements.

A random drug and alcohol testing program management service for client companies is offered utilizing a computer database to randomly select and record testing rates in accordance to Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and individual company testing policies.

Pre-hire or Pre-employment Screenings

The Industrial Rehabilitation staff at OSF St. Joseph has more than 10 years of experience in designing and utilizing pre-hire screenings for our local industries.

Using our functional job analyses (FJA) process, we are able to develop screenings that are fair, accurate, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant - all important features when looking for the best hiring choice for your business.

Post-Offer Screenings

Post-offer screenings can be tailored to meet the needs of your business. Available services include laboratory and radiographic examinations, vision and hearing screens, immunizations, urine drug screen analysis, and pulmonary function testing.

DOT Physicals

Since 2014, all DOT Physicals are required to be performed by Federal Motor Safety Carrier Administration (FMSCA) Certified Providers. This regulatory change was made to ensure medical examiners can effectively determine if individuals meet the FMCSA standards. The program is designed to help reduce the occurrence of vehicle-related accidents by individuals requiring DOT Certification.

OSF Occupational Health is proud to have FMSCA certified physicians to perform DOT Examinations. For more information, please review the Department of Transportation’s FMSCA website.
