U.S. life expectancy has increased by 20 years since 1965, leading to the 65+ age group becoming the fastest growing demographic in the country. OSF HealthCare estimates its population of older adults will increase 14 percent by 2020.

We want to keep our entire community healthy and active. For older adults, that means giving them the opportunity to age gracefully at home and be contributors to society by offering more health care options that allow older individuals to travel, work or volunteer on their own terms.

That is why we are deploying innovative minds from different disciplines within OSF Innovation to identify new approaches for more flexibility and choice.

Engineers, human centered designers and data scientists work directly with our clinicians using creative approaches for problem solving to discover and then share solutions.

We want to reach people where they are to provide the care they need when they need it.

It’s our goal to develop or seek innovative solutions that will transform how care is delivered, empowering everyone as they age and their families to make the right choices for themselves.
