(August 9, 2023 | BLOOMINGTON, Illinois) – OSF HealthCare is pleased to add a neurology advanced practice nurse to better serve the Bloomington-Normal communities.
The addition of Barbara Weis, APRN, will ensure increased access for people in need of care at the OSF Illinois Neurological Institute, in Bloomington.
She chose a career in medicine because she really enjoyed learning about anatomy and physiology. Barbara enjoys the complexity of working with the neurological system.
“The mind and the human neurological system are extremely complex, and you have to connect the dots,” said Barbara. “Every person is an individual and you have to be able to connect the dots to put it all together in order for it to make sense.”
Barbara attended Illinois State University for both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She is a Certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
