David began his medical career as an athletic trainer and EMT. He worked in the emergency room as a tech/EMT where he saw patients at their most critical times.
“And then I would see some of them again in the orthopedic department for follow-up care and physical therapy. You get to know people very well seeing them from beginning to end,” David said.
Specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine was an easy decision for David. “I have a passion to be around people who want to be in sports or to get back to their active lifestyle before they were injured or disabled,” he said.
His approach to care is to listen to his patients, provide informative diagnostic tests and explain the results and treatment plan in a down-to-earth manner for them to easily understand.
David is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran having served six years in a combat engineer battalion, specializing in reconnaissance and demolition.
When not working, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys golfing, camping and attending sporting events and concerts.
