Amor-Arteaga was born and raised in Mendota, which she declares is a great small town to raise a family. She was excited for the chance to return, serve her hometown and give back to the community.
From a young age she knew she wanted to be a nurse to care for others. Her ultimate career goal was to become a nurse practitioner with a focus on family medicine. She loves that she has the opportunity to care for the whole family. For her, the big reward is in developing relationships with a family, watching them grow and experience new stages in life.
“It is important that I get to know patients and they get to know me, as well,” Amor-Arteaga said. “I want them to be able to trust me with their health care needs. My goal is to include patients in decisions regarding their health care and treatment plan.”
Amor-Arteaga is married and has one son. In her free time she enjoys listening to podcasts.
