The option is designed for nurses who already hold a master’s degree in nursing and want to learn to care for individuals, across the lifespan, with mental health care needs and to practice in a variety of settings such as clinics, human service centers, urgent care facilities, and physician practices.
Upon successful completion of this certificate option, the student may take the national certification examination.
