Manager – Erin Kennedy, MS, Exercise Physiologist
Erin Kennedy is the manager of the Center for Healthy Lifestyles at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. With 20+ years of experience in the healthcare field, Erin’s focus has been on improving the health and well-being of the community through education, prevention and chronic disease management.
Erin’s primary responsibilities include program development through the Center for Healthy Lifestyles, community health needs assessment, and improvement planning. The favorite part of her job is her involvement with forming interagency collaborations to make an impact on the overall health of the community.
Erin was honored by the YWCA of McLean County with the Women of Distinction - Professions Award. She holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a master's degree in exercise physiology from Illinois State University. Erin joined OSF HealthCare in 2000.
Wellness Coordinator – Michelle Brown, MS Ed
Michelle Brown, MSEd, is the Health and Wellness Coordinator for OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center. Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Education from the University of Minnesota, Morris, and her master’s degree in Community Health from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
Michelle is responsible for promoting and developing wellness programming for OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center Mission Partners. Through the OSF4Life wellness program, she coaches Mission Partners to reach their health goals. She also assists with business and community wellness programs through health risk assessments and screenings. She is a certified First Aid, CPR/AED instructor and faculty through the American Heart Association. She teaches community and corporate courses. As a Freedom from Smoking Instructor through the American Lung Association, she offers community members and Mission Partners smoking cessation sessions.
Michelle is the 2012 recipient for the Health Educator of the Year Award through the Cornbelt Health Educators Association. Her interest areas include corporate wellness, disease prevention and she enjoys working in the OSF St. Joseph community garden. She has presented at various national conferences and is published in health related journals and magazines. Michelle has worked for OSF HealthCare since 2008..
Registered Dietitian – Kim McClintic, MS, RD, LDN
Kim McClintic serves as the dietitian for the Center for Healthy Lifestyles at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in dietetics/nutrition from Iowa State University, as well as a master’s degree in public health administration from Drake University. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Central Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Healthy Eating, Active Living Coalition and the Unit 5 School District’s Wellness Committee.
She has promoted health and wellness through conferences, workshops, publications, radio, television, and educational videos. She is a recipient of several awards from health and wellness-related organizations. Kim presents nutrition and health topics throughout the community at schools, businesses, community organizations, support groups, conferences, and via local media.
Weight Loss Program Specialist – Alison Tillery Kirk, BS, CHES®
Alison is advanced trained in the HMR weight loss program and leads weekly classes that provide accountability and personalized guidance for meal planning, physical activity, and dealing with challenging food environments. Alison earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Speech Communication from Indiana State University, and completed her graduate studies in Health Education through Union Institute & University. She is a certified Health Education Specialist through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing. It is her goal to improve patients quality of life by providing weight management education to help patients achieve their health and weight loss goals.
Registered Nurse – John Mejorado, RN, BSN
As the program nurse for The OSF Weight Management Center, John is responsible for evaluating and monitoring all participants of the HMR Program. He also assists in many of the daily functions of the weight management center, and collaborating with the HMR Program Medical Director and other team members to ensure the clients are safe while they are enrolled in the HMR diet.
John graduated from The University of Iowa in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and has worked in-patient oncology for 13 years, caring for pre- and post-op surgical oncology patient, as well as inpatients receiving chemotherapy and external radiation therapy. He also cared for pre- and post-op inpatient orthopedic patients for 8 years. He has been a Mission Partner with OSF since 2012 and enjoys the medical challenges of working in weight management.
