Booth #1 - AI Voice Assistance for Inpatient Care

Katie Willerton, the 2024 OSF Innovator of the Year, endeavored to pilot a smart room using Aiva Health’s AI-powered voice assistant to help hospital patients. Some patients experience a sudden loss of mobility, making voice-activated controls essential for adjusting their environment and communicating with their care team. The tool enhances patient engagement while streamlining clinical workflows, reducing alarm fatigue and improving response times.

Booth #2 - Neuroscience: Digital Neurological Exams

With a growing shortage of neurologists and increasing demand for care, the Digital Neuro Exam tool aims to use AI-powered, objective measurements to support clinical teams in evaluating patients in-person and remotely. This modular platform, which will be accessible via smartphone or tablet, will enhance triage, facilitate earlier detection of neurological changes and integrate seamlessly into clinical workflows.

CliniPane is an AI-driven decision support tool designed to help clinicians navigate vast amounts of patient data within electronic medical records(EMR). The tool sits within the EMR to provide clinicians with relevant clinical data insights in a seamless, non-disruptive way. Led by the Clinical Intelligence and Advanced Data Lab, this innovation aims to reduce administrative burden, enhance patient interactions and improve diagnosis accuracy, particularly for underserved populations.
