Meet the Team

Tina Canada - RN, BSN, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist

Tina Canada photo Tina is a registered nurse who joined OSF Holy Family in 2015. She says she has felt at home since joining OSF and the Monmouth community.  She has a passion for helping people manage their diabetes.

“I love that OSF Holy Family providers, staff and patients work together to improve the health of our community, and I love that I get to see the compassion of my co-workers each and every day,” she said. “We have a lovely facility, dedicated and caring Mission Partners and a wonderful community here in Monmouth.”

Tina grew up in Karnak, a small town of about 700 people in rural southern Illinois. She now lives in rural Monmouth with her husband, Mark, who is a pastor at Fairview Center United Methodist Church.  

Tina earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 1983, and she holds a Wound Care Certification from the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO) in addition to being a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.

 

Jamie Robbins - Diet & Nutrition Educator, Registered Dietician

Jamie Weyant photo Jamie grew up in Quincy, Illinois, but loves living in Monmouth now. As she puts it, "I love the friendliness of the people in the local community. I feel that people help one another and communicate well with each other."

Jamie Weyant She graduated from Western Illinois University in 2001 with her bachelor's degree and completed her dietetic internship program at Iowa State University. She returned to WIU and completed her master's degree in Education and Interdisciplinary Studies in 2008.  In May 2013 she became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.

Jamie started working at OSF Holy Family in 2001. "I love working for OSF HealthCare because I wholeheartedly support our Mission 'to serve persons with the greatest care and love in a community that celebrates the Gift of Life.' I love working here with a job that allows variety - inpatient, outpatient, management, community, grant writing, and being a part of the team at OSF Diabetes Care. The dietary staff is a wonderful group of people with excellent culinary skills, customer service skills, teamwork, and dedication. I could not ask for a better place to work."

When she isn't serving the patients of OSF Holy Family, Jamie enjoys spending time with her children, Owen and Raine, and her husband, Gaylord..

She also enjoys reading, fishing, shopping, traveling and talking on the phone with her family in Quincy.
