OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center provides the most advanced technology and expert technologists to care for you and your family. We offer a full array of diagnostic services to serve our patients and assist the physicians in their assessments.
Technologies include 64-slice CT scans, MRI, PET, ultrasound, radiology (X-ray), nuclear medicine, bone densitometry, heart scans, digital mammography and minimally-invasive breast biopsies.
Women's Health Center
You’ll appreciate our difference when you get your annual mammogram at our Women's Health Center at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center. We focus on your comfort and provide a relaxing setting with advanced technology, including digital mammography.
Should a suspicious area need a closer look, biopsy options include stereotactic breast biopsy and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
If breast cancer is detected, our Cancer Care Center provides advanced services. You’ll be supported by a breast patient navigator, who makes sure your questions are answered and helps you get the medical care you need.
If you’re expecting or planning a new baby, you’ll want to visit our Family Birthplace. With luxurious suites and advanced medical technology, we’ll help make your birth experience special.

Laboratory Services
The Laboratory at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center provides 24/7, 365 days a week state-of-the-art lab services for inpatients, outpatients, local physicians and extended care facilities.
The Lab performs more than 275-thousand stat and routine tests annually, including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Blood Bank, and limited Microbiology and Histology. Our Lab is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and undergoes biannual inspections.
Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center is our blood supplier, and we transfuse more than 2400 red cell units a year.
