Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network

OSF Saint Luke Medical Center received top honors in Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network’s hospital “Innovation of the Year” competition in 2014 for decreasing utilization of its emergency department through education and active engagement of its most recurrent patients.  The project goal was to reduce the number of visits of recurrent patients where symptoms could be better controlled in ways other than visiting the hospital’s emergency department.  Utilizing Evidence-Based strategies allows our patients to receive the right level of care, at the right place.

“Best in Employee Wellness” was awarded to OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in 2014 for the WellnessEDGE program.  The WellnessEDGE, a comprehensive employee wellness program serving our employees through educational lunch and learns, physical activity challenges, personal training, health risk assessments, and more.
