Pediatric Behavioral Health

The Pediatric Behavioral Health program is a collaboration between OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois and OSF Medical Group that helps your child understand their feelings and learn healthy coping strategies.

You are an important part of your child's care plan. We help you understand what your child needs and how best you can support them at home. Together, we’ll work with you and your child to foster confidence, develop skills and nurture a stronger sense of well-being.

What is behavioral health?

Pediatric behavioral health helps children and teens with emotional, behavioral or mental health concerns like anxiety, mood changes, trouble focusing, stress or problems at school or home.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

At your first appointment, our team will take time to get to know you and your child. We’ll ask questions about your child’s background, strengths and current concerns to better understand their needs. This first visit helps us begin building a care plan together and answer any questions you may have.

Meet Your Care Team

Our large team has specialists for all age groups. Neuropsychologists, licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), licensed clinical professional counselors (LCPCs) and primary care providers at OSF Medical Group can also assess and support your child. We do our best to pair your child with a provider they are comfortable with and who matches their needs.
