Saint Anthony College of Nursing is a private Catholic institution offering a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree designed to prepare students for professional nursing practice. The BSN program integrates a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences with specialized nursing coursework. Students complete prerequisite and general education requirements at an accredited college or university before entering the program at the junior level to focus on the nursing major.

Saint Anthony College of Nursing students gain extensive hands-on experience through a variety of clinical settings that support the development of professional nursing skills across the lifespan. Clinical experiences include hundreds of hours in laboratory and direct patient care in diverse healthcare environments.
Primary clinical sites include OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, along with additional experiences at UW Health (formerly Swedish American Health System) and other regional healthcare partners.
Students also benefit from unique community-based clinical opportunities, including long-term care experiences at Wesley Willows Continuing Care Retirement Community, as well as exposure to clinics, home health, mental health, and other community agencies.
These varied clinical environments provide students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care in today’s complex healthcare system.

The part‑time BSN follows the same curriculum and clinical outcomes as the full‑time program, with coursework distributed across additional semesters to support part‑time progression.
Students complete foundational nursing courses first, followed by adult health, mental health, population health, advanced medical‑surgical nursing, and conclude with Clinical Immersion, Leadership & Management, and Practice Integration (NCLEX Prep).
