OSF Saint Clare Scholarships

OSF Saint Clare is now accepting applications for the 2024 OSF Saint Clare Health Career Scholarship, Pierson Nursing Scholarship and Harold Morine Scholarship.
Abbie Jean Gunning was the first Auxiliary President. In 1960, the first scholarship in her honor was awarded. Following integration with OSF HealthCare, the scholarship was renamed the OSF Saint Clare Health Career Scholarship. The Morine Scholarship is an award bequeathed by Harold Morine in 1981 in memory of his wife, Marilyn Morine, who was a nurse at Perry Memorial Hospital. The Pierson Nursing Scholarship is an award bequeathed in memory of Hilma S. Pierson, Ralph H. Pierson and Martha J. Pierson for those pursuing a nursing career.
Scholarships are available to students who will be graduating from high school or are enrolled in a post-secondary school, community college, college or university, current OSF Saint Clare Mission Partner or immediate relative of an OSF Saint Clare Mission Partner in a health care or nursing career. Applicants must reside in Bureau County.
We encourage those returning to school for advanced education in health care to apply for a scholarship award. Applicants must have a permanent residence within Bureau County and be pursuing a health care career, including but not limited to, nursing, radiology, lab technology, physical therapy, occupational therapy or pre-med.
- Education: Demonstration of academic achievement accompanied by high school or college transcripts, volunteer and/or work history and health-related activities.
- Applicants must plan to attend a post-secondary institution for a health career field of study.
- Completed applications must be returned to Samantha Rux at OSF HealthCare Saint Clare Medical Center, 530 Park Ave. E., Princeton, IL 61356 or emailed to samantha.l.harkerrux@osfhealthcare.org by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
- Incomplete or late application packets will not be accepted. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award.
