Furthermore, there is a fellowship in vascular neurology, neurosurgical spinal surgery, general neurosurgery, and neuroradiology at the institute. These physicians have the opportunity to train in a large center with an extensive volume of complex patients and participate in the research that improves patient care. A variety of teaching conferences for residents and physicians from the Midwest are held daily. These seminars cover topics including, but not limited to, brain tumors, cerebrovascular issues, and epilepsy. These symposiums allow for a very wide range of consultation by a large cadre of specialists for patients with complex problems. This allows for very thoughtful analysis and consultation concerning complex patient problems.
