How long should I expect to wait before being seen?

The estimated wait time prior to rooming can be found on the electronic wait board. Patients may not be seen in the order of arrival. Wait times are subject to change based on the severity and urgency of patient needs.

Will I see a doctor or a nurse practitioner?

You’ll be seen by a licensed medical provider – either a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant.

Will I get an antibiotic?

Only if medically necessary. A provider will assess your condition and work with you to come up with the best treatment plan for your condition.

How long does testing take?

Most tests (flu, strep, COVID-19, etc.) take 15-30 minutes for results.

What do I do after my OSF PromptCare visit is over?

If you are feeling well, nothing else is needed. If a referral to a specialist is needed, a member of the OSF PromptCare team will advise you on next steps.

You may be directed to follow up with your primary care provider (PCP). If you don't have a PCP, notify the OSF PromptCare staff or call (844) OSF-APPT and a patient navigator will assist you with finding a primary care provider that best fits your needs.

Where can I get my prescriptions filled?

At any pharmacy of your choice.

How much will my OSF PromptCare visit cost?
