Pediatric Otolaryngology

When your child has an ear, nose or throat (ENT) issue, it can feel stressful for the whole family. Our pediatric otolaryngology team is here to guide you with specialized, kid-focused care for everything from recurring ear infections to more complex concerns.

What is pediatric otolaryngology?

Pediatric otolaryngology, often called pediatric ENT, is the medical specialty that diagnoses and treats ear, nose and throat conditions in infants, children and teens. ENT for children includes issues with hearing, breathing, swallowing, speech and sleep. Care includes both nonsurgical ENT services and surgical treatments, all tailored to the unique needs of growing children.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Most visits begin with one of our pediatric ear, nose and throat advanced practice providers. They’ll check your child’s height, weight and vital signs, as well as examine their ears, nose and throat to learn what’s causing their symptoms.

We focus on making your child feel comfortable and supported throughout the visit. Your provider will explain each step, answer your questions and involve you in care decisions. They may discuss next steps, including at-home care, future in-office treatments or coordinating any surgical planning with our team.

Meet Your Care Team

Your child will be cared for by a dedicated team of pediatric ENT specialists who focus exclusively on children’s ear, nose and throat care. The team includes surgeons and advanced practice providers, several of whom have completed specialized fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology, bringing expert care for complex ENT conditions. Our advanced practice providers work closely with the surgeons to ensure families receive coordinated, timely and compassionate care.

The pediatric ENT team works closely with other specialties, including:

  • Gastroenterology (for procedures to correct tongue tie that may affect feeding)
  • Neonatology (for patients with airway difficulties)
  • Pediatric audiology for hearing needs
  • Pediatric pulmonology for sleep concerns
  • Pediatric surgery and anesthesiology
  • Speech therapy

From routine evaluations to surgery, you’ll have a coordinated team who listens and supports your family every step of the way.
