OSF HealthCare Compliance Program

The OSF HealthCare Compliance Program is a system of policies and procedures developed to help Board members, managers, employees, physicians and other providers understand and follow the federal and state laws that govern health care.  It is also designed to help our employees meet the requirements of Federal, State and private health care plans.

The OSF Compliance Program includes the OSF HealthCare Compliance Plan and the OSF Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Compliance Plan.  These detailed plans explain our strong commitment to maintain high ethical standards.

Another essential element of an effective Compliance Program is a comprehensive Compliance Audit Program.  The Ministry Compliance Team develops a Compliance Audit Plan each year to make sure that our patient care, reimbursement and other processes and procedures comply with the Federal and State laws and regulations.

The annual Compliance Audit Plan outlines the specific audits that will be completed by the Ministry Compliance Audit Team in the following areas –

  • Hospitals
  • Physician Offices
  • Home Health
  • Hospice
  • Home Medical Equipment
  • Home Infusion Pharmacy
  • Research
  • Privacy

The quality and safety of the care we provide is greatly improved because our employees are expected to follow the policies, procedures, rules and guidelines included in the OSF Compliance Program.

The OSF Compliance Program helps our employees do the right thing which helps us provide exceptional quality care to our patients. It allows us to fulfill the OSF Mission to serve persons with the greatest care and love.
