Personal Response Systems
When you experience a fall, medical issue or other emergency, every second counts.
Our personal response systems program provides subscribers with assistance at the push of a button 24 hours a day and is helpful for anyone living on their own and needing reassurance of safety.
Lifeline with Auto Alert provides an added layer of protection by placing a call for help if a fall is detected and you are unable tot push your button.
To get started with our personal response systems, or if you are a current personal response systems user in need of customer service, please call (888) 289-2026.
How It Works
Should you need assistance, the unit will dial the response center and put you in touch with a trained operator who will immediately assess the situation.
In case of emergency, the operator will immediately summon professional help. If your situation is a non-emergency, the operator calls one of your pre-determined professional responders, which could be a family member, neighbor or friend.
Choosing Your Help Button - A Message from Lifeline
It is important that you and your caregiver choose the Personal Help Button most suitable for you. Please consider the following:
The Classic Pendant is worn around the neck; this helps make the button accessible by either of your hands.
The Pendant's neck cord is not designed to break away. Therefore, it can pose a choking risk to wearers in wheelchairs, using walkers, or using beds with guard rails.
Wearers for whom this is a concern may wish to consider the Wrist Style option.
The Slimline Wristband is worn around your wrist.
In circumstances where the user's arm that is not wearing the pendant becomes immobilized (examples: due to stroke or arm being trapped under a heavy object), this can present a risk that the user will be unable to press the button.
Lifeline’s AutoAlert option enables you to push the pendant-style button for help at any time.
In addition, AutoAlert provides an added layer of protection by automatically placing a call for help if a fall is detected and you can’t push your button because you are disoriented, immobilized or unconscious. This enhanced service option can provide even greater peace of mind.
Please consult with OSF Home Care Services to determine which device is most appropriate for you.
