The Department of Pastoral Care offers spiritual support to patients, their families and visitors through listening, prayer, grief and crisis counseling, help with end of life concerns and family assistance.
We are pleased to announce the OSF Saint Anthony chapel will be open for prayer and reflection, but out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19, Mass will not be held in the chapel until further notice. Please visit our Alerts Center for updated information on closings and cancelations in our area.
- An intention book is located at the back of the chapel.
OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center is dedicated to treating every patient with the greatest care and love in the spirit of Jesus Christ.
The mission of our Chaplaincy Services Department is to ensure every patient in our medical center is spiritually cared for and comforted.
Our compassionate Chaplaincy Services staff is available 24 hours a day to offer holistic spiritual care, pastoral support, and encouragement to all patients, their families, and our medical center staff.
Chaplaincy Services staff visit our patients to help acquaint them with the pastoral services available and offer support and comfort.
Our Chaplaincy Services staff respond to patient and visitor prayer requests of a pastoral need, specifically praying for each need daily. The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis and Chaplaincy Services are privileged to intercede and bring your needs before God.
Patients and their family members may request administration of the Sacrament of the Anointing of The Sick by a priest.
Chaplaincy Services will also notify the patient or their family’s own faith community or pastor if requested.
