OSF Saint Anthony’s Health Center provides confidential evaluation and therapeutic counseling to help those facing a personal crisis, life change, family issue, depression, anxiety, or other mental health and substance abuse issues. Individual, couples and family therapy is available for adults, seniors, adolescents and children ages 6 and older.

Psychological Evaluation is the assessment of a person’s cognitive, social, behavioral, and psychological functioning. Psychological testing is a very specialized evaluation done by a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to assess a variety of abilities and attributes. Psychological Testing may include Neuropsychological tests, Achievement and Ability tests and Personality measures.
Psychological Testing is often provided for:
- Diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other Dementias
- Diagnosis & Accommodation recommendations for ADHD or Learning Disabilities
- Measuring cognitive deficits post stroke or brain injury
- Pre-surgical evaluation for certain Pain procedures or Bariatric procedures
- Creating specific recommendations for individuals with stroke, dementia, or brain injury
- Determining Personality strengths and areas for individual growth

Child & Adolescent Therapy
Children respond well to therapy in a safe environment where the therapist uses techniques that may include play therapy, games, and art therapy to observe the child’s behavior, thoughts and feelings and help them to cope in a healthy manner.
Teenagers go through many physical, mental, emotional and social changes during adolescence. All of these changes can seem overwhelming triggering sadness, moodiness, anger or anxiety. Supportive counseling helps the adolescent to successfully manage their life and cope with difficult situations.

Employee Assistance Services
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a resource to area employees and their family members. EAP offers confidential assessment and brief personal counseling. In addition to individualized counseling services, EAP provides professional consultation to employers seeking workplace training, education, wellness critical incident stress management and organizational development.
Most insurance plans are accepted including Medicare. There are private pay options available for people without insurance.
